Terms of Use
Use Veridge with care for the person on the other side.
Effective: September 9, 2026
1. Agreement
These Terms govern the Veridge website and private messaging service on the web and iOS. By using an approved account, you agree to these Terms and acknowledge the Privacy Policy. A separate, versioned permission is required before machine processing begins.
2. Eligibility and accounts
The initial Veridge beta is for adults aged 18 or older who are legally able to agree to these Terms. People under 18 may not use this beta, including with parental permission. Accounts are invite-only and approved by email. Protect access to your email and device, do not share your account, and notify support@veridge.io if you suspect unauthorized access.
3. Translation limitations
Automated transcription, translation, and speech synthesis can be incomplete, delayed, or wrong, including errors involving names, numbers, dates, identity, tone, or negation. The original message is authoritative.
Do not rely on Veridge as the only source for emergencies, medical or legal advice, safety instructions, financial decisions, or any situation where an error could cause serious harm. Confirm important information with the sender or a qualified human interpreter.
4. Your content
You retain your rights in content you send. You give Veridge limited permission to host, transmit, reproduce, transcribe, translate, synthesize, secure, and delete it as needed to provide and protect the service as described in the Privacy Policy. Separate explicit consent is required before a private message may become reusable quality-test or model-training material.
You are responsible for having the right to send the content and for the consequences of sending it.
5. Acceptable use
You may not use Veridge to break the law, violate rights, facilitate fraud or exploitation, threaten or harass, impersonate others, distribute unlawful sexual content, send malware, probe or bypass controls, automate abusive traffic, scrape accounts, discover people without authorization, or misrepresent machine output as human-verified translation.
6. Service changes and availability
The private beta is under active development. Features may change, fail, or be unavailable. We may set limits, pause paid processing, suspend access for security or abuse, and discontinue the service with reasonable notice when practical.
7. Ownership
Veridge and its software, branding, and service design are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. These Terms provide a limited, personal, non-transferable right to use the service and do not transfer ownership of Veridge or another person's content.
8. Disclaimers and liability
To the extent permitted by law, Veridge is provided "as is" and "as available." We do not guarantee uninterrupted service or accurate machine output. Nothing excludes rights or liabilities that cannot legally be excluded.
9. Ending use
You may stop using Veridge and initiate irreversible account deletion in Settings. Deletion removes every shared conversation for both people, including the other person’s messages and media. We may suspend or terminate access for a material or repeated violation, security risk, legal requirement, or threat to another person or the service.
10. Contact
Veridge is operated by Alex Brooks in an individual capacity. Questions, safety reports, or legal notices may be sent to support@veridge.io. Governing law and counsel-reviewed terms remain required before public launch.
Safety and device information
In iOS, open the conversation’s Safety menu to report or block a user; touch and hold a received message to report it. On the web, use conversation or message details. Manage blocked users and contact support in Settings. While blocked, neither person can contact the other or view the conversation. Unblocking restores access to unexpired history. Previously downloaded content and media links already issued for up to five minutes cannot be recalled. Reports contain account, conversation and optional message identifiers, a selected reason, timestamps and review status, not copies of message text or recordings. Reports and safety request records expire after 30 days; account deletion also removes linked reports and blocks. Blocks remain until removed or account deletion. The operator reviews reports and may restrict an abusive account. Contact support@veridge.io for support, safety follow-up or an appeal, without sending private content or sign-in codes. This is not an emergency service; contact local emergency services for immediate danger. Native authentication uses an installation identifier, device-bound sessions and app version. Optional notifications use an APNs device token and language preference; Apple delivers a generic notification. These identifiers support authentication, delivery and security, not advertising or tracking. Veridge has no advertising or tracking SDKs. The iOS app has an invite-only TestFlight release path; this is not a public App Store release.
