Account deletion

Delete your account and shared history.

Start in Settings in Veridge. You do not need to email support to initiate deletion.

Open Veridge
1

Open Settings

Choose Delete account. If asked, sign in again with a fresh one-time code, then return to Settings.

2

Confirm the full scope

Read the shared-history warning and confirm only if you intend to delete your account and all its conversations for both participants.

3

Access stops; cleanup continues

Once the request is accepted, your account access is removed. Cleanup covers your profile, shared messages and media, translations, sessions, invitations and linked application records. Pending means cleanup is still in progress.

4

Check the saved status

The app saves a private status-only receipt before sending the request. Keep the browser tab or app data until you have checked the result. If a connection fails, check status before retrying; an interrupted response may still have been accepted. A completion notice confirms active application and identity cleanup, not immediate erasure from provider systems or backups.

If you cannot access Settings

Contact support@veridge.io from your account email for help. We may verify ownership. Do not send passwords, one-time codes, deletion receipts, private messages or media links.

Retention limits

Pending cleanup records remain until the work succeeds. After completion, a minimal deletion marker and status receipt remain for 31 days. Short-lived abuse-prevention records keep their existing expiry. Provider and backup retention limits and any applicable legal exceptions are separate; read the Privacy Policy.

Delete one message instead

Individual message deletion remains available within a conversation. It removes the message from authorized reads while media cleanup completes.
